A Roman copper alloy Idiosyncratic nail-cleaner, dating to c AD 43-150. The nail cleaner appears to have been made from the bow of possibly a Nauheim derivative brooch. The nail cleaner is roughly leaf shaped. It comprises a plate of copper alloy which is roughly triangular with a smaller triangle above. At the top has a small projection which is angled to one side. A copper alloy Roman nail cleaner with a high shoulder dating to c AD 43-150. The nail cleaner comprises a circular suspension loop pierced with a circular hole. The suspension loop then joins the short leaf-shaped body of the nail cleaner which ends in a bifurcated terminal with the two ends flaring slightly outwards. The front of the nail cleaner is decorated with a single incised line along the body of the nail cleaner. The back is undecorated.

A copper alloy zoomorphic nail cleaner strap end dating to AD 250-410. The zoomorphic representation has been suggested as depicting a fish and this together with the cross on the 'head' suggests possible Christian iconography.
At the top, is a single plate (presumably there was a second plate forming the rest of the strap attachment which is now lost) with a rivet hole in the centre Below the remaining attachment plate is a neck with horizontal lines.

A Roman nail cleaner dating to AD 43-410. The nail cleaner has a loop at the top that narrows to form a neck and is then angled over the shoulders before narrowing slightly until it narrows to a point (which is bent). The loop probably attached the nail cleaner to a chatelaine set.

A Roman nail cleaner with swollen blade, dating to AD 100-300. The nail cleaner has a loop at the top that leads to a neck when then widens to form the base of a triangular shape which narrows towards a second short straight section which divides to form the end of the nail cleaner. There is a decorative line running from the division at the end up to the triangular section. The loop probably attached the nail cleaner to a chatelaine set.
