An incomplete medieval copper alloy swivel strap fitting dating to c AD 1100-1500. The object comprises a single sub-circular loop with a flattened section at the base. This flattened section expands in the plane perpendicular to the hoop into an open circular loop, with this flanked by zoomorphic mouldings which grasp the loop between their jaws. The apex of the hoop is worn thin through wear. The strap fitting weighs 6.58g and measures 27.1mm in length (across the shoulders), 23.93mm in width (from the bezel to the thin section), 3.11mm in thickness and 9.68mm in height across the …

A medieval copper alloy buckle plate dating to c AD 1200-1400. The buckle plate is incomplete and is bent and damaged. The remnant of the buckle plate comprises a rectangular sheet of copper alloy. The attachment end is truncated in line with two rivet holes, with a third, central rivet hole below the buckle end. Beyond the central rivet hole are the truncated remnants of one of the recessed hooks that looped over the offset bar of the buckle frame and then looped back down to the central rivet. A medieval copper alloy figurative mount in the shape of a fleur de lis dating to c AD 1270-1450. The mount is complete and has two rivets which are both in place, although not complete. The front of the mount is in the shape of a fleur de lis with apertures within the curls of the side petals. The back of the mount is undecorated although there are concavities where the rivets were inserted through. The patina is dark green. The mount weighs 0.67g and measures 15.29mm in length, 9.81mm in width and 2.3mm in thickness. Cf Egan and Pritchard 1991, fig 126, p 201, no 1084.

A medieval copper alloy bar mount with pendent loop dating to c AD 1350-1400. The mount is complete. The hanger at the top of the mount comprises a lozengiform strip of copper alloy with the corners at each of the long sides of the front cut to angle the front. At the bottom of the strip of copper alloy, the lozengiform shape is flat with a narrower strip of copper alloy extending from it that forms the pendant retaining loop. The object comprises an ovoid frame with hooks extending from each of the long sides of the oval frame. A gilded copper alloy bird (probably an eagle) mounted on a long shank probably dating to the medieval period c AD 1250-1500. The eagle has an extended neck leading into the body of the bird which is thin and flat. There are wings on either side which are separated slightly from the body and a flaring tail. Beneath the body, the bird is standing on two separate legs with the claws of the feet gripping an oval knop.
