A Roman copper alloy silver plated forgery of a denarius of Trajan (AD96-117), dating AD 103-111. Reece period 5. The obverse shows a bust of Trajan facing right. Inscription reads TRAIAN[O AVG GER DAC] PM[ TR P COS V PP]. Reverse shows Pax holding a palm branch and cornucopia. Inscription reads [S]PQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI. The coin is broken at the edge and there is copper alloy visible underneath, meaning that the coin has been made from a copper alloy disc with silver plating. RIC 190.
The coin is 2.55 grams, 11.46mm diameter
