A lead weight of possible Roman to post medieval date (c. AD 43 - 1600). The weight is circular with a raised rim and the numerals IIII inscribed on the top. The underside of the weight exhibits a series of peck marks. Biggs and Withers (2000, 15 - 16) discuss this form of weight and illustrate a similar example (no. 2). They note that a number of weights of similar style have been found at sites such as Chester Roman fort, however, not all have come from stratified context. A probable lead lid from a box of medieval date (c. AD 1300 - 1340). The object is a circular lead disc with a stamped design on one face depicting the arms of England (three lions passant guardant) surrounded by three palm branches. This is in turn surrounded by a collar which appears to contain foliate decoration and lettering, however, this is worn and indistinct. On the other side is a six petalled flower. An incomplete post medieval lead cloth seal dated to the year AD 1612. The seal consists of one circular disc from a four-disc alnage seal. One face exhibits a design of a crown with a rounded base with the date 1612 below. The cloth seal measures 16.39mm in diameter, is 1.55mm thick and weighs 2.01g.

A post medieval lead cloth seal dating to the period c. AD 1603 - 1688. The seal is an alnage seal and consists of two circular discs, one of which is pierced. The other disc has a rivet on the back which has been pushed through the aperture in the other disc and flattened. The two discs are joined by a shot connecting strip along one edge. One face carreis the arms of the City of Bristol, depicting s ship issuing from a tower. A lead vessel repair of probable Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410). The repair consists of an oblong piece of lead connected to a smaller, oval piece of lead by two cylindrical joins, one at either end. There is no trace of ceramic visible. Although this example is likely to date from the Roman period, vessel repairs of this type were used from the Roman period to the nineteenth century. The repair measures 24.87mm in length, 5.44mm maxmimum width, 4.94mm minimum width, is 10.43mm thick and weighs 3.88g.

A lead post medieval powder measure dating to the period c. AD 1600 - 1700. The powder measure has a flat bottom with the sides expanding outwards to the open mouth. On either side of the bas is a small loop which would have housed a short length of cord to fasten the powder measure to the bandolier. Parallels suggest that this object dates from the period of the English Civil Wars (1642-49). For information on small arms accessories of the seventeenth century, see: Courtney, P. In each quarter is a series of moulded pellets. The back of the button is flat and undecorated. It exhbits an integrally cast rectangular shank with a circular drilled hole near the base for attachment to a garment. A Roman lead ingot, or "pig" dating to the period c. AD 164 - 169. The ingot is rectangular in plan and trapezoidal in cross-section. The upper surface carries the inscription in relief IMP DVOR AVG ANTONINI ET VERI ARMENIACORVM written across two lines. At either end of the ingot the letters are fainter and in lower relief than those in the centre. The lettering is slightly irregular, with the letters on the bottom row of the inscrition noticably larger and more spaced out than those on the top line. A medieval or post medieval lead bird feeder dating to the period c. AD 1450 - 1700. The feeder would have been cylindrical in shape with a flat circular bottom, however, the sides have been squashed and it has been distorted out of shape. The sides of the feeder are decorated with a moulded relief pattern of a series of arches, with every alternating arch filled with lattice cross-hatching, possibly to depict a trellis. The toe exhibits an old diagonal break running across the top. It expands along sits length to a rounded tip and exhbits a D-shaped groove around the curved nail. The reverse of the object is hollow and partially filled with soil. The shape of the hollow suggests that the object was cast around a core. The cloth seal consists of two lead discs pressed together which would have been joined by a tab, now missing. One disc carries an impressed design of a letter A with a double V shaped bar, flanked by three pellets, representing the city of Augsburg, Germany. A lead post medieval cloth or bag seal dating to the period c. AD 1500 - 1800. The seal consists of two discs pressed together, both of which exhibit significant losses to their edges. The larger of the two discs exhibits the remains of a tab projecting from one side. There is no trace of a design on the outer face of this disc. The smaller disc exhibits traces of an indistinct design, possibly a stylised letter H or A, however, it is heavily worn. The seal measures 14.33mm in length, 11.45mm in width, is 4.16mm thick and weighs 3.00g.

The obverse exhibits slightly facetted sides and traces of moulding which indicate that the obverse was intended to be pentagonal in shape. There is a single large pellet positioned off-centre on the obverse. The reverse is slightly concave and retains no means of attachment. The button measures 20.18mm in length, 19.03mm in width, is 7.28mm thick and weighs 12.73g.

A lead pot mend of possible Roman date (c. AD 43 - 410). The pot mend consists of an irregularly shaped piece of lead with a cylindrical plug projecting from one face which would have filled the hole in the original vessel. Ther are traces of ceramic around the plug. The ceramic is heavily abraded. It is pink-red in colour and exhibits frequent micaceous inclusions. The pot mend measures 26.24mm in length, 23.03mm in width, is 13.01mm thick and weighs 29.68g.
