Copper alloy mount in the shape of a flower, post medieval in date (c AD 1600-1800). The mount is a cast six-pointed star, slightly concavo-convex at its centre. The 'points' of the star are curvilinear, each resembling a bell or petal with a knop at its narrow end. One petal is missing its end. A rectangular perforation measuring 6.5mm across is in the centre of the mount. The object has a mid green to reddish patina. See NLM-EAC377 for comparison.

Early Medieval Irish mount, cast copper alloy. The mount is T-shaped formed of a rectangular bar with a pelta-shaped projection on one side. The rectangular panel contains interlace decoration with a cross in the centre. Some traces of gilding remain. On the back of the mount are the remains of two attachments. A cast lead zoomorphic figurine of unknown date. The object is in the shape of a dolphin with an arched back, a well defined lip and tail. The remains of a casting seam is visible on the base. The base also has the remains of two attachment points which probably fitted the figure to a stand or mount in an upright position. The moulded lead retains some detail on the tail, eyes and mouth. Cast copper alloy mount/belt fitting, post medieval in date (c AD 1500-1800). The plate is sub-triangular in plan and is made of one copper sheet, folded over on the front in the shape of a shield with a splayed linear decorative motif. The shield is turned up at both ends and in each corner of the triangular plate is a circular loop each with a small perforation hole. The plate has a wavy border. The plate is in fair condition and has a patchy light green to reddish brown patina.

Each end has two pointed shoulders, forming circular attachment holes on the back of the mount. The holes do not penetrate the object and one has the remains of an iron shank/attachment in the hole. The edge of the mount is flattened and there is a central circular hole measuring 4.2mm in diameter. On the upper surface there is a series of three raised concentric circles for decoration. The loop appears to be undecorated and unmarked apart from a few worn marks and a small groove on one side of the frame where the pendant may have attached. The loop is quite thick and sturdy and has a dark green patina.

The mount is flat with a slightly concave lower surface, and is bent outwards at both ends. The tip of one 'acorn' is snapped off and there are linear decorative indentations on the upper surface of the mount. The lower surface has two intact but bent rivets, rectangular in section. The object has a light green to red patina.

Copper-alloy cast horse harness mount, Roman in date (c AD100-300). The mount takes the form of a hexagonal shield with rounded corners and a damaged flattened edge. In the centre there is an oval vulvate boss, with a central vertical groove. On the reverse side there are two integral rivets with knopped ends. The object has a mid green patina. These mounts form a group of equine strap decorative mounts. These vulvate mounts are probably sexual in nature. See Appels and Laycock (2007) Roman buckles and Military Fittings, pg125, fig AA14.43.
