Neolithic polished flint axehead. Lenticular in section, polished overall but with a few flake scars still visible. Cutting edge curved and sharp, sides tapering towards narrow, straight butt. There is relatively fresh damage in the form of a large natural flake at the cutting edge on one face, and a small flake at the butt end revealing pale yellow-brown flint. The surface of the flint is patinated pale grey with few iron stains. Length 203mm, width 76mm, thickness 55mm. Weight 968g. Similar to NHER 56013 and also PAS (NMS-4C43C4). 3000-2351 BC.

Copper alloy Disc brooch. Heavily damaged, majority of rim missing. Central conical boss surrounded by 2 concentric segmented ribs and a raised rim. Catch-plate and pin missing, but double lug surrounded by iron corrosion from pin remains. Original diameter approximately 26mm, thickness of disc and cone 9mm. Similar to Hattatt, p.347, nos. 1068, 1576 & 1069. 2nd century AD.

A border around the base consists of a double rib at the rim, an otherwise plain band with four stamped stars with a single rib above. Diameter at base 18mm. Height 23mm.16th - 17th century. Medieval lead ampulla. One side with Spencer (1971) type II scallop shell below pair of ribs joined by angled lines at neck, other side crowned W inside a circle with angled lines on the engled edge and pair of ribs with angled lines between at the neck. Two lugs, now squashed, at the neck. Top crimped together. The crowned W is likely to stand for Walsingham, but also could signify Virgo Virginum (Virgin of Virgins). See Spencer 1971 and Spencer 1990 for similar examples. 14th-16th century. Length 51mm. Width 30mm.
