An incomplete post Medieval cast white metal button. The front is convex and shows a crown over number 2 SOMERSET REG(T). The back is concave and bears the legend Gilpin & Co London. Several sections of edging are missing, as is the shank.

An incomplete Post Medieval white metal button of the East Middlesex Militia, dating to c.1780-c.1810. The button bears the Middlesex crest under a coronet. The reverse has a central dome which retains traces of iron oxide from the loop which is now missing.
