A heavily worn copper-alloy coin, probably a dupondius of Vespasian (AD 69-79), dating to AD 77-78 (Reece Period 4), FIDES PVBLICA, Fides standing left with patera and cornucopiae. Probably mint of Lyon. RIC II (2nd ed), p.146, cf. nos. 1211-12. The obverse does appear to be radiate, although the top of the head appears laureate at first glance.
