A rim fragment from a cast copper alloy cooking vessel of late Medieval to early Post Medieval date, circa AD1400-1700. The vessel fragment is probably from a cooking vessel such as a cauldron or large posnet. The fragment is irregular in both plan and section. The exterior surface is unpolished and slightly uneven with numerous fine traverse surface scratches. The body of the vessel fragment curves gradually to the rim.
