An incomplete cast copper alloy mount, possibly from a horse harness decoration, dating to the late Post Medieval period, circa AD1600-1700. A stub of an integrally cast spike is present on the reverse at both ends of the mount - 2 spikes in total. The position of the stubs at the extreme ends of the mount suggests that the object may have been a belt or strap slide. An incomplete, cast copper alloy mount probably Post Medieval to Modern in date. The precise function of the mount is unclear although it is possibly from a piece of furniture. In plan view the mount comprises of a central triangular-shaped plate with openwork decoration below. The openwork decoration was clearly always asymmetrical although not all of the openwork survives. The damage is not new. In the centre of the triangular plate is a sub-square recessed field.
