A complete silver milled shilling of William III (1694-1702). The coin is dated 1696. Mint not known. The obverse shows a laureate and draped bust facing right. Obverse legend reads GVLIELMVS III DEI GRA. The reverse shows a central circle containing the lion of Nassau with four shields arranged around which together form a cruciform shape. The shields contain a harp, one lion rampant, three lions passant and three fleurs-de-lis. Reverse legend reads MAG BR FRA ET HIB REX. Diameter: 25.29mm. Thickness: 1.32mm. Weight: 5.9mm. A complete silver hammered shilling of William III (1694-1702). The coin is worn on both sides but the reverse in particular has been worn and smoothed. The coin has been bent twice. Coins modified in this way are often referred to as 'Love tokens.' The obverse is just discernible showing a bust facing right with the legend GVLLIMVS III DEI GRA. The reverse is illegible due to deliberate wear. Diameter: 25.82mm. Thickness: 1.10mm. Weight: 4.9g. Die axis not known.

A complete but worn silver sixpence of William III (1694-1702). The coin has been bent twice and has an irregular 'S'-shaped profile, indicating that the coin has been turned into a 'love token'. Obverse shows a worn laureate bust right. Obverse legend read [GV]LIEL[MVS] III DEI GRA. Reverse shows four crowned single shields arranged as a cross with a lion rampant at the centre. Reverse legend: [___MAG/BR] FRA /ET HIB [REX_]. Diameter: 21.57mm. Thickness: 0.94mm. Weight: 2.6g. Die axis: 6 o'clock
