A complete silver decorative mount, possibly for a book cover or box, of probable modern date, post 1750. The mount is made from sheet silver. It has an irregular shape in plan view, possibly representing two superimposed capital letters. Due to the highly stylized openwork design of the mount, it is uncertain if the design represents an 'H', 'E', 'I' or 'U' possibly referring to the owner's initials.
