An incomplete cast lead alloy personal, flat-backed seal matrix dating to the Medieval Period, circa AD1200-1300. The seal matrix would have originally been sub-oval in plan. A ragged break is now present to one side of the seal matrix. The break is not new. The upper face of the seal matrix is undecorated. An integrally cast lug is present near the perimeter of the matrix which is set on a moulded central rib on the longitudinal axis of the reverse. The token has been cast with a raised design of a equal arm cross on the obverse and a flat, undecorated reverse. The token was originally sub circular in plan, it is now folded. The token has a sub rectangular section. The token has a light brown / yellow patina and the surface has an uneven patina. Soil still adheres to the surface. Maximum diameter: 23.64mm. Thickness: 2.27mm. Weight: 6.9g.

A lead alloy seal matrix of 13th-century date. It is complete, but surface cracks on the rear face indicate that the now flat seal had previously been folded across the middle. The seal matrix is a pointed oval shape with an integrally cast, rounded lug on the reverse. The lug is set on a moulded central rib on the longitudinal axis of the reverse. An attempt has been made to pierce the lug on one side, but the lug is not completely perforated.
