A complete ceramic bead probably dating to the Roman period, circa AD50-400. The bead is broadly spherical with both sides flattening around the perforation. The bead is an even light yellow / white colour. It has a centrally located longitudinal perforation with parallel sides. The perforation has an approximate diameter of 3.2mm. The bead is in good condition with some surface scratches and 1 small chip near the perforation, probably caused by movement in the plough soil. A small sherd from a Post Medieval (AD1600-1700) stoneware jug, probably a German Belamine jug. Part of the design border is present but too little survives to identify the design any further. The outer surface is covered in an iron-rich salt glaze producing a textured mottled brown effect. The fabric is hard fired and light grey in colour. The inner surface has shallow grooves confirming that the vessel was wheel-thrown. Dimensions: 36.63mm x 42.59mm x 7.74mm. Weight is 18.0g

A complete late Medieval to early Post Medieval floor tile, circa AD1200-1400. The tile is square in plan and rectangular in section. The face of the tile has shallow chips on the top and bottom edges and some abrasion to parts of the raised moulding, a large chip is present on the reverse. Overall the tile is in good condition. An incomplete moulded Medieval ceramic floor tile, circa 1200-1400 AD. A 'two colour' floor tile, usually found in relatively high status buildings. The floor tile would have originally been rectangular but the top right corner and bottom side of the tile is missing due to old breaks. An incomplete fragment of a clay tobacco pipe bowl dating to the late Post Medieval period, circa 1680-1720. The pipe bowl is comparable to David Atkinson's Broseley Type 5A (Atkinson:1975, p25, fig 1). The overall shape of the bowl is elongated with a gradual widening from the base of the bowl to the tip. The bowl has a flat heel although less than half of the heel survives due to old breaks. The heel was probably originally circular.
