A cast copper alloy single looped buckle and buckle plate. The buckle dates to the Medieval period, circa 1200-1500. The pin is missing. In plan, the buckle frame is sub-oval with a narrowed and off-set strap bar. The shorter sides of the frame are curving in plan and are sub-square in section. The side of the frame opposite the strap bar is straight and thickened. The thickened side of the frame has a moulded, round knop at either end and a recessed area between the knops which is very worn. An incomplete cast copper alloy composite buckle frame with forked spacer. The buckle dates to the Medieval period, circa AD 1350-1450. The pin and the plates are missing and one of the spacer prongs terminates in an old break. The sub-oval frame has a pointed projecting pin rest at the centre of the outer edge. The face of the buckle next to the pointed projection is flattened with a slight groove in order to accommodate the end of the now missing pin. The pointed projection is chamfered. The buckle is broadly rectangular in plan, with straight long sides and short sides which curve outwards. The buckle has an offset, narrowed strap bar. A cast copper alloy double looped spectacle buckle frame dating from the Medieval to early Post Medieval periods, circa AD1350-1600. The pin is missing. The front of the buckle is undecorated with obliquely angled edges along the outside of the frame and on the inside edges of the loops. The strap bar is narrowed and broadly trapezoidal in section. The reverse is flat. The surfaces of the buckle are slightly worn with an even dark green / grey patina.
