A complete cast lead alloy button dating from the late Medieval period to the early Post Medieval period, circa AD 1500-1700. The button is circular in plan. The section is irregular. The face of the button has a crude moulded decoration comprising of a central, slightly larger raised pellet, within a circle of 8 surrounding pellets. Slightly raised lines radiating from the central pellet to each of the surrounding pellet, like the spokes of a wheel, are just discernible. A complete cast copper alloy biconvex button of late medieval to early post medieval date, circa AD1500-1600. The head of button is solid. The head is circular in plan and convex at the front and back. The integrally cast shank has a sub-rectangular section at the base with a rounded loop. The pierced circular perforation has an approximate diameter of 3.1mm. The button is undecorated with an uneven green / brown patina.
