An incomplete fragment of a clay tobacco pipe bowl dating to the late Post Medieval period, circa 1640 - 1670. The pipe bowl is comparable to David Atkinson's Broseley Type 1B (Atkinson:1975, p24, fig 1). The overall shape of the bowl is elongated with a bulge at the centre. The bowl has a circular flat heel with a stamped initial mark. The initial mark is circular with lines radiating from the centre. A complete cast copper-alloy annular ring. Probable harness fitting (strap distributer and/or strap union) dating to the Roman period, circa AD50-400. Identified as a probable harness fitting due to wear at two opposing points where the harness straps would have been attached. The ring is circular in plan. The ring has an irregular section with a protruding outside ridge. The ridge may have been unintentionally formed by poor casting but examples of ridged harness rings are given in Jackson (see below). An incomplete moulded Medieval ceramic floor tile, circa 1200-1400 AD. A 'two colour' floor tile, usually found in relatively high status buildings. The floor tile would have originally been rectangular but the top right corner and bottom side of the tile is missing due to old breaks. The front and the back of the tile is flat with sides sloping slightly inwards towards the reverse, resulting in the face of the tile being larger than the back.
