In plan, the object has a trefoil terminus leading to a rectangular lug with a broken end. The object has an irregualar section. Within the trefoil terminus survives 4 evenly spaced circular perforations which have been punched. The holes have an internal diameter of approximately 7.1mm. An incomplete moulded Medieval ceramic floor tile, circa 1200-1400 AD. A 'two colour' floor tile, usually found in relatively high status buildings. The floor tile would have originally been rectangular but the top right corner and bottom side of the tile is missing due to old breaks. The front and the back of the tile is flat with sides sloping slightly inwards towards the reverse, resulting in the face of the tile being larger than the back. An incomplete copper alloy posnet handle of Medieval date, circa AD1250-1600. Posnets were a common Medieval cooking vessel resembling a small cauldron with long handles instead of lugs. The handle fragment is sub-rectangular in plan with its widest point at the broken edge and gradually narrowing to the attachment end. The engraved die has a central device of two busts facing each other in profile. The faces are divided by a long-stemmed plant which emanates from a heart-shaped form at the bottom of the device and terminates in a four-leaf flower above the busts. A complete copper alloy seal matrix of 13th-century date. The seal matrix is a pointed oval shape with an integrally cast, rounded lug on the reverse. The lug is positioned at the apex of the seal matrix on a central rib on the longitudinal axis which extends approximately halfway down the reverse.
