A complete late Medieval to early Post Medieval floor tile, circa AD1200-1400. The tile is square in plan and rectangular in section. The face of the tile has shallow chips on the top and bottom edges and some abrasion to parts of the raised moulding, a large chip is present on the reverse. Overall the tile is in good condition. The face of the tile has a raised moulded decoration covered with a brown/green translucent glaze which in places has dripped down the sides. An incomplete moulded Medieval ceramic floor tile, circa 1200-1400 AD. A 'two colour' floor tile, usually found in relatively high status buildings. The floor tile would have originally been rectangular but the top right corner and bottom side of the tile is missing due to old breaks. The front and the back of the tile is flat with sides sloping slightly inwards towards the reverse, resulting in the face of the tile being larger than the back.
