An incomplete post-medieval gilded copper-alloy mount, probably dating from the 16th to 17th century . The mount comprises a thin sheet moulded in the form of a six-pointed star, possibly intended to represent a rowel from a spur. One of these six points is missing and the object has been bent back on itself in a straight line down the middle, giving the appearance of half a star. The arms of the star are chevron in cross-section, raised and pointed on the front and concave to the reverse, and there are significant traces of gilding on the front surface. A worn and corroded probable strap fitting in the form of a clasp of probable Post-Medieval to Early-Modern date. This artefact is formed of a central lozengical in plan and flat in section body with a single rectangular in plan bar extending horizontally at either end. A Late Iron Age/ Early Roman body sherd and rim sherd. Both fragments are fully oxidised and appear an orange colour to the exterior surface, with a darker orange to the interior. The fabric of both sherds is sandy and includes small particles of mica and displays some small circular voids, possibly from organic matter, as well as very large irregular flint temper. This flint temper appears unsorted and large fragments protrude from both surfaces and in the section. The rim sherd has a beaded rim and is from a large storage jar. A slightly worn but probably complete cast copper-alloy unidentified object of unknown date. This object is formed from a circular in plan ring with a central quatrefoil aperture, and is sub-oval to sub-rectangular in section. Extending from the central aperture to either side of the ring and on both surfaces are two cast ridges which are 'U' shaped in plan; in profile these connect to form an uneven 'X'.
