Medieval copper alloy harness pendant, probably of 13th or 14th century date
The harness pendant is of two-part form, comprising a frame and internal pendant and is incomplete, missing most of the inner pendant (with a length of 39.1mm and a weight of 5.6g). The hinge to the suspension mount retains the remnants of the iron axis bar. The front of the hinge has a stepped projection of uncertain function (giving a maximum depth to the hinge of 8.3mm).
