Roman copper alloy enamelled plate brooch of 2nd century AD date The brooch is of oval form with six equidistant peripheral lugs, one now lost and is near-complete, missing the pin but is slightly distorted (with a distorted length of 35.9mm, a maximum width of 20.7mm, a distorted depth of 8.0mm, a thickness of 2.1mm and a weight of 5.0g). The missing pin was hinged between two perforated lugs, positioned behind the apex of the brooch, rather than the peripheral lug.
