Roman copper alloy bow brooch of T-shaped type and 1st to 2nd century AD date The brooch is near-complete, missing the pin and catch-plate and has a distorted bow (with a distorted length of 52.1mm, a distorted depth of 24.1mm and a weight of 13.3g). The pin was hinged within tubular wings (with a width of 25.3mm). The wings are decorated with vertical knurled ribs in sunken relief positioned near the terminals and adjacent to the bow. The bow is of D-shaped section with an additional prominent midrib, and has straight sides converging to the foot (with a width at the head of 11.4mm…
