A complete lead-alloy weight, possibly a spindle whorl of Roman date. The object has a bevelled flat lower face and domed upper face. The object has a central circular 5.10mm Ø perforation. There is no decoration on obverse and reverse and all surfaces appear slightly worn. Lead weights like these are common finds, but only rarely from excavated contexts which is why date and origin are difficult to pinpoint.
