A milled Pattern Ninepence of George III (AD 1760-1820). Late-type head on the obverse, obverse legend: GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA REX. The reverse has been polished so no legend or design remains. The coin has probably been struck in bronzed copper or debased silver, resulting in spotting on the obverse surface (identified from photo). Diameter: 21mm, weight: 2.98g.
