A post-medieval copper alloy 17th-century trade token farthing issued by Thomas Thorpe at Epworth in Lincolnshire, Williamson Lincolshire 76, dating from AD 1664 (on token). Ref: Williamson (1967) page 447. The obverse carries a shield displaying the Mercer's arms surrounded by the legend THOMAS THORPE. The reverse has the letters TT with a mullet of five points above and below, all,within a wire line circle, surrounded by the legend IN EPWORTH 1664. It is a length of copper alloy wire, of circular cross section, tapered at the ends and swollen in the middle. The diameter in the middle is 3.6mm. At one end it is 1.3mm where the tip has snapped off. A copper alloy artefact, probably an awl of Bronze Age to Roman date, about 2100 BC - AD 410. It is sub-cylindrical, tapering to a broken point at both ends, and has a cross-section which is octagonal. One half is of larger diameter than the other. It is pelta shaped in form, having a crescent shaped lower edge and an upper edge consisting of two bevelled, semi-circular cut outs (biconcave). Each end of the crescent is marked with a V shaped notch and there is a further notch in the end of the central projection between the two cut outs, leaving the three upward pointing projections as bifid. A copper alloy casket key, probably of Medieval date, AD 1200 - 1500. Unusually, it has a solid, sub-triangular spatulate plate in place of a bow, so there is no suspension loop. The shank is of rectangular section and the bit is a plain rectangle. It has a patchy, dark green patina. It is 32.3mm long, 10.1mm wide and 4.1mm thick. It weighs 3.01gm. A copper alloy Roman seal box lid of Andrews (2012) L1. It is lozenge shaped with a small, rounded projection at three of the corners and a small, flat lug at the fourth corner, perforated to take a hinged pin. A Post-Medieval copper alloy coin, possibly intended to be a contemporary copy or forgery of a half crown of George III, dated 1819. There is a copper alloy core, still bearing traces of a white metal coating, the edge of the flan is millled and both obverse and reverse carry the design of a second issue, small laureate head halfcrown (Spink 3789). However, the flan is slightly misshapen and, with a diameter of 36.1mm, slightly too large to be easily mistaken for a genuine coin. It is 1.8mm thick and weighs 12.1gm.

A damaged, copper alloy finger ring of Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The ring has a recessed oval bezel, which probably originally had a setting or intaglio, now missing. The bezel projects slightly forward from the hoop, which is chunky and smooth. The shoulders taper and there is now a break at the back of the hoop, and probably some material missing. The ring is also bent across the bezel. The metal has a smooth brown patina. Compare LEIC-048536 and WILT-A8F54B. In its current configuration the ring is 16.5mm long, 12.7mm wide and 13.5mm thick. It weighs 5.51gm.

The hook consists of a tapering circular sectioned shaft that probably originally finished in a hook, but is now fairly straight, and a large globular or rounded cone shaped terminal. The surface patina is missing, leaving the dark brown metal exposed. The hook is 46.6mm long and 8.8mm in diameter. It weighs 5.46gm. Compare records SUR-8C6ACE and LVPL-51F8D7.
