A complete copper alloy thimble dating to the post medieval period, c. 1750 to 1900. The sides of the thimble taper inwards towards the top. The top of the thimble is circular with a clear edge. There are eight rows of indentations which run around the sides of the thimble and there are four circles of indentations on the top of the object. These indentations are quite regular in size and shape.
