A complete pierced silver penny of Charles I dating to the period AD 1625 to 1649.
The obverse depicts a left facing bust with I behind the head. Much of the legend is not visible apart from the letter B and F. The reverse depicts an oval shield which fills the field surrounded by the legend [IVS THRONVM] FIRMAT. The coin has been pierced quite crudely and on the reverse aligns with the top of the shield.
