A complete lead spindle whorl probably dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200 to 1500. The object is sub-circular in plan and biconvex. There is a central sub-circular hole through the object which has a diameter of 10.52 mm. One side of the object is flattened or damaged possibly sugesting the object was a more regular shape initially. Both sides of the object are decorated with double lines alternating with raised pellets.

A complete lead spindle whorl of uncertain date but probably from the Roman to the Post medieval period, c. AD 43 to 1650. The object is circular in plan with a circular hole through the middle. The object has a maximum diameter of 28.70 mm and the diameter of the hole is 9.00 mm. The object is 8.83 mm thick. The obejct is broadly D-shaped in section however one side is slightly flatter. The object is undecorated. There are similar objects recorded on the PAS database, see for example WMID-B1EBB6.

One side of the object has a pattern of three raised pellets in cells defined by raised lines. The other side of the object is much more worn although the remains of some pellets can be seen.

The object has a white patina although where there is damage the darker grey of the lead is showing. There is a central, circular perforation through the object would would have allowed for suspension. Both faces of the object are decorated. One side has nine outwardly radiating raised lines while the other side has five triangles with the base arranged around the perforation. This gives a star shape.
