A complete quarter noble of Edward III (1327 to 1377) dating to the period 1363 to 1369. North Number 1243.
The obverse depicts a shield within a tressure of eight arches. The legend reads EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL with double saltire stops between each word. The reverse depicts a cross with lis terminals within a tressure of eight arches. The legend reads EXALTABITUR IN GLORIA with double saltire stops between each word. The initial mark is a cross pattée and the coin was minted in London.
