A complete silver penny of Edward III dating to the period AD 1369 to 1377. North Number 1293. The coin is quite damaged and possibly double-struck. There are colon stops on the obverse and possibly a quaterefoil in the centre of the reverse although it is quite worn so it is uncertain whether this was minted at the royal or episcopal mint.

The legend reads EDWARDVS REX ANGLI Z FRA... The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each angle. There are two legends; the inner legend reads CIVI/TAS/LON/DON while the outer legend reads POS/VI DEV/ADIVT/ORE M. The coin has annulet stops and the initial marks is North cross 1 for Edward III.

The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust surrounded by the legend which reads EDWARDVS REX A... The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each angle and a quatrefoil in the centre. Much of the reverse legend is illegible although it is possible to read one quarter which reads .../TAS/... It is possible that this coin was produced by the mint at York.

The legend reads EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL with double saltire stops between each word. The reverse depicts a cross with lis terminals within a tressure of eight arches. The legend reads EXALTABITUR IN GLORIA with double saltire stops between each word. The initial mark is a cross pattée and the coin was minted in London.

This is a standard type F reverse type. The legend is quite obscured due to the bending of the coin but it would read EDWARD [D G REX ANGL Z FRANC D HYB]. The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each quarter. There are two legends, the outer legend reads [POSVI]/DEVM.A/DIVTOR/[E]MEV[M] and the inner legend reads CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI.

The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each quarter although the coin appears to have struck badly as there are more pellets in some quarters. There may also be a quatrefoil in the centre although due to the coin being struck badly it is hard to tell. The legend reads CIVI/TAS/EBO/RACI.
