A very worn and clipped silver halfgroat probably of Charles I dating to the period AD 1625 to 1649. The obverse is very worn but it is possible to see the top of the crown and II in the field suggesting a left facing, crowned bust. The legend is too worn to read. The reverse depicts a garnished oval shield. Again the legend is illegible.
