A copper alloy buckle dating to the period c. AD 1525 to 1600. The buckle is double looped with one loop D-shaped off the central bar and the other loop trapezoidal. The frame is D-shaped in section with faceted edges. There is cast decoration on the trapezoidal loop in the form of grooves. There is one small knop projecting from the D-shaped loop and some damage suggests there would have been a second knop. There is some iron corrosion on the central bar and this could suggest that the pin was originally made of iron. This buckle is a Marshall (1986: 13 - 14) Tudor type IIB.

A copper alloy figure of eight buckle dating to the period AD 1350 to 1500. The buckle has two loops and is a figure of eight shape. The back of the object is flat whereas the front has faceted edges. This is a Marshall (1986: 11-12) Medieval type IIIC which dates to the period 1350 to 1500 and beyond. An incomplete post medieval double-loop buckle dating to the period AD c. 1660-1720. The frame is sub-rectangular in plan with curved corners. The inner side of the frame curves inwards along the long sides towards the pin. The tongue is missing but the chape is still in place although the terminal is fractured. It is likely that this terminal would have either been of the stud or the anchor type. Buckles of this type where used during this period on shoes and also to fasten breeches below the knee (see Marshall Type V buckles).
