A lead brooch of Weetch's type 4.C, dating to the early medieval period, c. AD 900 to 1000.
The object was originally circular and flat, but it has been folded and bent, probably through post-depositional processes. The back of the object has the lugs and pin catch which would have formed part of the mechanism. The pin is missing. A complete lead spindle whorl probably dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200 to 1500.
The object is sub-circular in plan and biconvex. There is a central sub-circular hole through the object which has a diameter of 10.52 mm. One side of the object is flattened or damaged possibly sugesting the object was a more regular shape initially. Both sides of the object are decorated with double lines alternating with raised pellets.

A complete lead spindle whorl dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1200 to 1500.
The object is circular in plan and biconvex. There is a central, circular perforation which has a diameter of 10.31 mm and would have been used for suspending the spindle whorl. Both faces of the object are decorated, one with raised lines very close to each and occasional pellets in between. The other face has also got raised lines however they are further apart with at least one pellet in between but sometimes two.

A complete lead bag or cloth seal dating to the 19th century.
The seal impression is circular with irregular edges which contain spaces where wire or textile ligatures would have run across the diameter of the object to seal it. One side reads ДД/АССЯТН/... and probably would have listed the quality control officer. The other side of the object reads КРОНЬ/2СОТЪ... and lists the point of export as well as the date of production although this has now worn away.

A complete lead cloth seal dating to 1836.
The impressed seal is roughly circular with uneven edge. There are spaces where a wire or textile ligature would have passed through the object across its diameter. One side of the seal reads КРОН/2СОРТ/επ/1836 which probably refers to the place of export and the date of production. The other side of the object is more worn and while there probably was lettering on both sides it is no longer visible.

The object is sub-circular in plan and is made up of two layers which have been flattened together. There are rectangular spaces on the side of the object which are where the rope or wire would have gone.

A lead Post Medieval medallion, probably 19th century in date.
It is circular in plan with decoration on both faces. The front face has a crowned bust facing left. He has long straight hair. The bust is inside a circle of dots. The reverse has a central circle, surrounded by concentric circles decorated alternately with a series of dots or split into segments by lines. There are two breaks on the outside edge which are at the 8 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions when the object is oriented with the bust upright. These could have formed a small suspension loop.

An incomplete lead or pewter pin terminal dating to the post medieval period, c. 1600 to 1800.
The object is irregular in plan with a cylindrical body and a spherical head. Around the body of the pin head are two raised rows of beady, perhaps meant to represent ropework. These rows wrap around the body of the pin. The head of the pin has some decoration however this is quite worn. At the opposite end to the head there is a hole running up the length of the pin and it seems likely that this is where the pin would have been attached.

The object is shield-shaped in plan and flat. On one side There are five rectangular impressions which are irregularly spaced around the edge. The back of the object is flat and undecorated.
Shield shaped weights are fairly common during the medieval period as trade weights and there are several recorded on the PAS database, see GLO-D5BF63, LIN-92A696 and SWYOR-E42B53.

An incomplete lead pilgrim badge or pendant dating to the medieval period, c. AD 1300 to 1500.
The object is in the form of a scallop shell and has broken and worn edges. There appear to be two plates flattened together perhaps suggesting the object carried holy water from the site of pilgrimage. The scallop shell was the symbol of St James whose original shrine was at Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Pilgrims would bring back souvenirs as proof that they had completed their journey.

A post medieval dress hook dating to the period AD 1450 to 1550.
The object has a circular panel depicting a Tudor rose with two sets of six petals within a linear border. There is a sub-rectangular projection from one side which would have been attached to an item of clothing. On the other side of the object there is the remains of an iron hook.
This is a Read (2008:125-6) Early post med class K type 2, and an identical example can be seen on page 126 number 514.

The object is circular in plan. The front of the object has moulded decoration of a bird standing centre, possibly a duck. There is part of a legend visible around the bird which reads VALLEN. The object is semi-circular in plan and D-shaped in section. There is evidence that the straight edge of the object is due to a break suggesting that it may have been oval in shape originally. The curved edges are also very worn or possibly broken and so it seems likely that the object would have been much larger. The front of the object shows moulded decoration, possibly of a fish although much of it is missing. The back of the object is undecorated and curved.

The object is circular in plan and biconical. There is a central perforation which is more worn on the front than on the back. The back is quite worn although it is possible to see some outward radiating lines. The front of the spindle whorl is in better condition and it is possible to see a raised border around the outer edge of the object with raised outward radiating lines creating a chevron effect.

The object is a cube in shape although the corners have become rounded, possibly due to wear. There are small drilled holes on each side to give a number from one to six. From the middle ages onwards there is a tendency to place numbers on opposites side so that the total of the two sides is seven and has been called a regular layout (See Egan). This example does not show this layout and so could be earlier.

It is possible to discern the letters I//GLU on the obverse and on the reverse there is a dot in a circle. The pireced hole is sub-circular and has very irregular edges. Crude tokens such as this one are known from excavations in London and date from the 16th century.

The object is circular in plan with a central, circular perforation. Both faces are flat although there is a slight bend in the object. There is decoration on both sides which consists of small isosceles triangles spaced around the perforation. These are a light brown colour which contrasts with the white patina on the rest of the object. Spindle whorls similar to this example were in use from the Roman through to the Post-Medieval period and therefore it is difficult to assign a narrow date range of use.

An incomplete post medieval lead-alloy stud or button. It is sub-circular with a domed front and a flat back. The front features incised decoration which focus around a circle which acts as the centre of a flower with six long, linear petals. Between each of the petals there is an annulet with pellet in the centre. Around the edge of the circle are a series of pellets which act as a border.
On the back there is evidence for some sort of attachment which looks to be a circular projection although this has been sheared off. Probably 17th century.

The spindle whorl is circular in plan and biconvex in profile. Each side is decorated with a series of lines with either dots or hearts in each section although this decoration has worn away significantly.

The obverse contains the legend GREGORIVS PP VIIII across three lines with a border of pellets although most of this has worn away. The PP stands for Pastor Pastorum or 'Shepherd of Shepherds.
The reverse depicts two busts facing forward with a crucifix between them. They are individually bordered by a line of pellets. Above the two busts are the letters SPA SPE which stands for Sanctus Paulus and Sanctus Petrus or St. Paul and St. Peter. A post medieval lead alloy Russian Flax Bale Seal.
The seal is sub-circular in plan and the front has a crossed keys design with a star above and the number 1 below. The reverse is not decorated and there is evidence of damage and it is likely this is where the the connecting strip would have been.
The crossed keys may relate to the city of York and SWYOR-95DAB2 and SWYOR-A79D15 are similar examples.

A post medieval bale seal dating to the 1840s and is probably from Russia or the Baltic region.
The seal is circular in plan with two holes through the section of the of seal which would have been for two strings to secure them. This would have confirmed that the contents of the bag had been checked.
The obverse has a Cyrillic legend which reads ...ECЯT/ AAEKC.../ ППPCR
The reverse legend reads APXЪE/ OTEOMMЪI/ 2COPIE/ ЕЛ/ 184...
SWYOR-93AC9 describes a similar example although slightly earlier in date.

A cast lead-alloy toy figure of a man of 17th century date.
The figure is very worn and detail has been lost, but the figure has a head with a body obscured by a cloak or coat and wearing pantaloons or other form of voluminous trousers, with the right leg slightly forward.

An incomplete case lead doll of Post-Medieval date, 1700-1800.
The doll retains the torso and arms of a female doll, the sex indicated both by the style of dress and two raised humps indicating breats. The torso is V-shaped, narrowing towards the waste. The arms emerge from the sides of the shoulders and then extend in a relatively straight manner to rest on the hips. The doll is wearing a dress, decorated on the front and back with a central line and upward angled lines, creating a panelled effect.
