A complete copper alloy trade weight of post medieval date, c. AD 1625 to 1685. The object is circular in plan with a 4.09 mm wide lip around the edge. There are three marks on the surface of the object, inside the lip. They are a dagger, a ewer and the letter C with a crown above. The crowned C refers to either Charles I or II and the a sword, which represents the sword of St. Paul and is the mark of the City of London and the ewer, the Founders Company of London mark, which shows they have verified this weight. A complete lead weight probably dating to the post medieval period, c. AD 1500 to 1800. The object is heart shaped in plan and flat. It is 22.26 mm long and 23.56 mm wide. There is clear iron corrosion between the two lobes of the heart and at the point suggesting an iron wire was used for suspension. On one side there is a faint design of two concentric circles with a central, circular hollow. There are some unclear shapes which have been impressed into the surface of the object however it is not possible to identify them any further. They probably would have acted as official marks to authenticate the standard of the object.

There is a central, circular perforation through the object which would have been used for suspension. Both surfaces are flat and undecoratied and the object is a pale grey colour. Objects of this type are dated from the Roman to the Medieval periods and change very little due to their functional nature. There are similar examples on the PAS database including HESH-277B38.

There is a circular perforation through the object from the tip of the cone through the base. The outer surface of the object has been decorated with cast lines to create a chevron effect. On one side There are five rectangular impressions which are irregularly spaced around the edge. The back of the object is flat and undecorated.
