A silver annular brooch made from a short cross penny of John or Henry III. The brooch is circular in plan and has the legend of the coin still visible. The centre of the coin has been removed. There is a circular perforation which holds the pin of the brooch. The pin itself has a loop for attachment to the brooch and a collar before the tapering pin. The legend on the front of the brooch, which is in fact the reverse of the coin, reads PIERE...DVR and refers to the moneyer Pieres who struck coins in Durham from c. AD 1199 to c. AD 1222. A cast copper-alloy medieval harness pendant suspension mount dating to the period c. 1200 to 1500. The object T-shaped, faceted on the front and flat on the back. There is a collar on each of the horizontal arms through which a rivet has been hammered presumably for attachment to a harness. There is a small knop beyond each of the collars which acts as a terminal. Projecting downwards from the middle of the horizontal bar is a short arms which is faceted and splits into two sections, each of which has a circular hole. A copper alloy mount probably dating to the medieval period. The object is circular in plan with a narrow frame. Within the frame is a bird which is looking back on itself with feathers ruffled. The effect created by the openwork means that the bird appears in silhouette. There is not obvious means of attachment perhaps suggesting suspension from an organic strap or perhaps the projection for a mount has simply worn away. There is a similar object on the PAS database, see record PUBLIC-407C04.

A copper alloy disc brooch dating to the roman period dating to the 2nd or 3rd century. The object is oval in plan and has a central oval stone with is very dark blue or green in colour. The stone is slightly damaged. There is a border around the stone which has raised decoration of crosses and pellets. This border has quite a lot of the gilding still in place. The back of the object is flat and undecorated with no evidence for gilding. The base of the pin rest and hinge are still in place but the majority have been lost, probably in antiquity.

The cleft of the key is rectangular in shape with two clefts opposite each other. There is a pointed ward at the end of the shaft. A silver ferrule, possibly for a knife, with incised decoration dating to the 16th century. The object is made from sheet silver and has a pointed oval shape in plan. The sides are straight and the edges are cleanly cut with little evidence for damage apart from a break. This has folded over and may have been repaired as the break is very neat.
