A cut quarter penny of Henry III (AD 1216 to 1272) dating to the period AD 1251 to 1272. Class 5. The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust surrounded by the legend although now only the letters ENR are visible. The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in the angle. The legend reads WIL... which probably refers to the moneyer Willem.

A complete silver long cross penny of an unknown ruler dating to the period AD 1279 to 1489. The obverse is completely obliterated and the legend is illegible. The reverse depicts a long cross with three pellets in each angle and a quatrefoil at the centre of the cross. Possibly mint of York.

Much of the legend has been clipped away however what remains reads CAROL..... The reverse depicts an oval garnished shield however the legend is not longer visible.
