A cartwheel penny of George III dating to the period 1797-1820. The obverse is very worn but it is likely that there would have originally been a right facing bust depicted. Most of the legend has also worn away although it is possible to make out the letters GEORGIVS... The reverse depicts Britannia sitting left holding a trident and a sprig aloft. The legend reads BRITANNIA. It is likely that the date would have also been impressed into the legend but this is no longer visible.
