A copper alloy stud dating to the Roman period, AD 43 to 410. The object has a circular head with a diameter of 27.88 mm which is convex. From the underside projects a square sectioned shaft which tapers to a point althought this is damaged. There are a wide variety of Roman studs known and large selection was found at Colchester, see for example number 3096 (Crummy 1983: 117).

A copper alloy stud dating to the Roman period, c. AD 43 to 410. The head of the stud is domed and round with a diameter of 23.9 mm. The underside of the head is flat and from it projects a square shaft which tapers to a point. There are many recorded examples of Roman studs, see examples from Colchester, (Crummy 1983) figures 120, no. 3173.

A copper alloy knee brooch dating to the period c. AD 80 to 300. The object has a rectangular head in plan which is semi-circular in section to hold the hinge which is still present although the pin is not. The head is 22.87 mm wide and steps away and the bow is attached to the step. The bow curves outwards and downwards. It is quite narrow but it is 11.28mm in depth. The brooch then widens to form a square foot. Part of the catchplate is still present and is horizontal. A similar example illustrated by Mackreth (2001) Plate 131 no. 7564 which is Continental type 1.b

A possible copper alloy sword belt fitting. The object has a rectangular frame with a projection which has an oval hole.There is a copper wire which was attached the object when discovered. The wire fits through the rectangular frame and may have been used for suspension. There is decorative detailing on the front of the object in the form of circular indentation and incised lines. The opposed zoomorphic heads on the loop recall contemporary knife handles.

The rowel of a spur which is late medieval or early post medieval in date. The spur is circular in plan with 12 projections radiating outwards from a central circular perforation. The ends of all of the projections are damaged. Rowel spurs became popular in the 14th century, replacing the simpler prick spurs. There are several examples of spur rowels recorded on the PAS database including LIN-9E0033, LIN-72B5A6 and CORN-C901E8.

Both ends of the object show evidence for old breaks which is why the object does not splay out at either end for the foot or attachment to the vessel body.

Part of a cast copper alloy cauldron leg probably of Medieval date. The object is sub-trapezoidal in plan and is broken at both ends. The top end is wider than the bottom end and this forms the attachment to the body of the vessel. The bottom end has evidence for an old break before the leg splays out to the foot. When viewed from the front, there are three ribs visible which run the length of the leg.

A complete lead bag or bale seal dating to the post medieval period. The object is circular in plan with a short rectangular projection. On one side of the seal there is a central circular groove and the letter H is also visible. The reverse of the object is flat and undecorated although there are some incised lines and possibly the numbers 16170 above the number 20.

A lead bag seal dating to the period c. AD 1750 to 1850. The object is circular in plan and on one side the words YORK AND SHEEPSHANKS as a border surrounding the word LEEDS in the centre of the field. The back of the seal is undecorated although there are some incised lines which may be the letters HIZ. The York and Sheepshanks company was a cloth manufacturer based in Leeds during the 18th and 19th centuries and it seems likely that this seal was used to confirm the production and quality of a bale of cloth.

There is embossed cyrillic lettering on both sides of the object. One side reads 16H НГУОVVB and there are possibly two small flowers also visible. The back of the object has the inscription [ ]N СГ9Н. Beneath this writing the letters 7 and 6 are visible which may refer to the date of the object, suggesting a manufacture date in the 1760s. A fragment of a Samian ware vessel dating to the Roman period, c. AD 40 to AD 230. The object is a fragment of the body of a Samian ware bowl. There is evidence for the pressed decoration on the outer surface with a raised, semi-circular design and a rope like design. The slip remains on the decorated areas although there is some damage on this side of the sherd. More of the slip remains in place on the inside face of the vessel fragment and there is a groove running across the fragment. A fragment of cast copper alloy, part of a vessel handle possibly dating to the medieval period. The object is comma-shaped in profile with a clear break at the widest end. In plan the object is trapezoidal with diagonal grooves within two parallel lines. These lines run the length of the object which is where the curve visible in the section is. There is a several areas of damage around the bulbous end of the object and also a break at the thinner end suggesting a longer handle.
