A cast copper-alloy shield-shaped harness pendant of Medieval date. The pendant is incomplete, with only the base of an attachment loop remaining at the top of the shield, though the body of the pendant itself is complete. The face has three rows of recessed crenallation, which probably originally contained enamel. There are faint traces of gilding. The reverse is undecorated.

The object has one end that is a round and hollow bowl like shape with irregular edges which is open and the opposite side connected to the shaft. A copper-alloy buckle plate of probable Medieval date. The plate is made from a folded sheet of copper alloy and is rectangular in plan and drop-shaped in profile. There is a rectangular slot in the folded end and a circular perforation in the rectangular end of the plate that attached the plate to a strap. A rectangular-headed rivet has been punched through both the upper and lower surface, with its pointed terminal hooked back.
