An incomplete, lead alloy (pewter?), fixture or fitting of unidentified purpose, of probable Post Medieval date, AD 1700 - 1900. It is an annular frame which is rectangular in section, taller than it is wide. An incomplete thin strut cast flush with one face of the frame survives and when complete would have divided the frame in half. There finat stubs at the other three cardinal points indicate that the frame would have been divided in quarters. It is 25.9mm in diameter and 3.7mm thick.It weighs 5.5g.

A complete but lead alloy medieval pilgrim badge. The flat circular badge has an integral pierced attachment lug at the top. The front of the badge has a depiction of St Margaret of Antioch. She is standing facing, holding a cross in her right hand and a book in her left. She stands upon the devil, which is depicted as a serpent or dragon. A lead alloy pilgrim badge depicting St Margaret of Antioch, also known as Margaret the Virgin, dating from the medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1550. The pendant is circular and has an integral circular attachment loop at the top.
The obverse depicts a robed and crowned female figure holding a cross in her left hand and a book in her right, standing on top of a dragon. A lead alloy ampulla dating from the medieval period. It is 35.2mm long, 30.2mm wide and 8mm thick. The top of the neck is missing and what survives in tightly pressed closed. Both side loops are damaged and one is almost completely missing. The body is decorated with a crown with a concave base on one side, and an oval cross hatched motif on the other. A cast lead alloy Medieval pilgrim badge probably dating from the 15th to early 16th centuries. On one surface, there is a crude depiction of the crucifixion. Christ is seen on the cross and he is flanked by two soldiers with spears. Christ has his arms bent and his legs flexed to the left. The image on the other surface is very worn and difficult to interpret but appears to be a figure standing on the right of the field, something at the base of the design, and a beaded border. A sub-circular lead alloy Post Medieval cloth seal bearing the Tudor arms of England, so dating from about AD 1485 - 1603. It is a uniface disc bearing a quartered shield with three lis in the lower right quarter and three lions in the quarter above. It may have been part of a four disc or two disc cloth seal. The diameter is 11.2mm, thickness 1.2mm, and weight is 1.0g. Compare SWYOR-6451B9, WILT-032F20 and pages 17 and 153 in Elton (2017).

A lead alloy Early Medieval Thomas Class E, Type 1 strap end dating from about AD 900 - 1100. It is rectangular in plan with a rounded closed end (tongue shaped). At the attachment end is a single solid flange with two rivet holes through it, one containing the remains of a lead alloy rivet. The plate is decorated with foliate motifs in deep relief in Winchester style. The strap end is slightly bent but otherwise in very good condition. It is 38.8mm long, 21.3mm wide and 4.1mm thick. 21.53g.

An openwork cast lead and iron pin with a circular head, probably dating from the Medieval or Post Medieval period, AD 1150 - 1600. The head is in the same plane as the shaft. The front has an outer rim with 10 spokes radiating from the centre to join it. There is an inner raised ring and a solid centre, but the design is obscured by rust. The reverse is flat apart from a thickened area across the centre to accommodate the iron shaft which runs most of the way across the back of the head. A lead alloy Post medieval medallion dating from 1852, commemorating the coming of age of Sir John William Ramsden.
Obverse: Family arms: Argent, on a chevron between three fleurs-de-lis sable as many ram's heads couped at the neck. Below is the motto: Audaces fortuna juvat (Fortune favours the bold). Above is the crest of A cubit arm in armour in pale holding a fleur-de-lys.
Reverse: SIR JOHN WILLIAM RAMSDEN, BART. / OF AGE / SEPTR 14TH 1852

A lead alloy spindle whorl. The whorl has a flat base and a domed top with a central circular hole. There are some scratches and dents on the sides and faces. It has a diameter of 30.1mm and is 7.42mm thick. The whorl is in good condition with a creamy yellow patina. The top of the whorl is decorated with groups of chevrond and pellets. There is a slight groove in the middle of the wall of the central hole. The base is covered with raised radial lines. A lead alloy Medieval trade weight dating from the 13th century onwards. It is nearly shield shaped, having a rounded base and a peaked top edge. It is decorated on the front face with a Fleur in relief and is plain on the reverse. A large uneven hole has been pierced through the base. At 126g, it is 4 1/2 ounces, so was perhaps intended to be a 4oz weight, or may be a re-used and cut down larger weight. An incomplete lead alloy, possible pin head, of probable Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1700).
The possible pin head is sub-spherical, with four oval convex panels equally spaced round the sphere. Each has a solid raised border around their edges. At the top, which is damaged, there appears to be a double cross of raised lines over the convex top. At the opposite end, there are the damaged remains of a square sectioned shaft. The possible pin head is a mid to dark grey colour, with an even surface patina. Length is 19.0mm, width 16.5mm, thickness 16.2mm and weight 40.2g.

A lead alloy probably Post Medieval token. It is circular and has a slightly domed front which is decorated with pellets and raised radial lines, perhaps representing a flower or rose. there is also a border of pellets. The reverse is flat and there is no evidence of a casting seam or attachment loop, meaning it is not a button though it is similar to button designs. There are faint concentric circles in relief on the reverse. The token has a cream yellow patina.

A lead alloy seal matrix dating from the Medieval period, probably from the 13th or 14th century. It is a wide pointed oval shape in plan. The central motif is indistinct but may be a bird. The legend has untidy crude lettering making it difficult to interpret; it perhaps reads: "+ S'. RO(G)'. I . b.ON(E)I . " meaning Seal of Roger, but the surname is not clear. On the reverse is a central rib with a damaged suspension loop. The lead has a cream patina except where there is slight damage.

A complete, post-Medieval powder measure cap dating from AD 1600 - 1700. It is cylindrical in form (now distorted) and tapers slightly from the open end towards a flat, circular cap. The cap has two small, diametrically opposed, suspension loops. Beneath the cap is a narrow, circular groove, suggesting that the cap was made from two pieces of sheet, not cast as one. The powder measure cap is 24.4mm long, 15.1mm wide and 15.8mm high. It weighs 13.34gm.
