A solid copper alloy strap fitting, probably a strap slide or toggle of Roman date, AD 43 - 410. It is circular with a convex or domed front surrounded by a groove and then a raised rim. There is a narrow groove around the side, towards the back. The back is flat with an integral sub-rectangular tab projecting, perforated by an oval hole. An incomplete, copper alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester one-piece type, dating from AD 25 - 60.  It has a plain, curved, undecorated bow of oval cross-section, tapering to a point at the foot. An incomplete, copper alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester one-piece type, dating from AD 25 - 60. It has a plain, undecorated bow of oval cross-section. The bow is strongly curved (through post depositional damage?) and there are two narrow, rectangular wings. There is a complete forward hook, but the spring and pin are missing, as is the catchplate. A fragment of a copper alloy artefact, possibly the hooked terminal of a Roman bracelet dating from AD 250 - 400, but it is too fragmentary to be sure. It is a rectangular strip of copper alloy which is 1.9mm thick. One end is broken and the other end tapers to a sharp point. the tapering end is also bent into an S shape. There is no decoration. It is 20.8mm long, 8.9mm wide and 5.5mm thick. it weighs 2.3g. Compare bracelets with hooked terminals in Crummy (1983), page 42.

The fabric is relatively fine grained, hard and dark grey throughout. It has a very dark grey slip on the exterior surface although the interior has been left plain and coarse. A stone possible gaming piece of possible Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The object is formed from a very smooth circular pebble, identified by the finder as Cornish greenstone. The pebble has two shallowly convex faces and rounded sides. It would have functioned well as a counter or gaming piece. It may have been naturally formed but collected for use as a playing piece. A lead pot mend and a fragment of the ceramic vessel, of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The mend is two discs of lead, one large and oval and one smaller and nearly square. They are joined by a short stem (making the mend H shaped in cross-section) through a hole in the ceramic vessel. Some of the ceramic fabric survives. It appears to be a greyware with frequent quartz inclusions, suggesting a Roman date. Measurements are; length 28.3mm, width 24.2mm, thickness 9.9mm and weight 22.87g.
