A probably Modern copy of a Post Medieval silver coin; a shilling of Edward IV, third period (AD 1550 - 1553). Only about a third of the coin survives. Where is is broken, two layers of metal can be seen, suggesting the coin was made in two parts. The coin is imitating a fine silver shilling. Compare North number 1937 on page 123 of Volume II. The coin is 30.6mm long, 18.7mm wide and 1.1mm thick. 2.6g.
