A copper alloy Roman coin, a sestertius of Maximinus I (AD 235-8), dating to AD 236-7 (Reece Period 11), SALVS AVGVSTI S C, Salus seated left feeding snake at altar. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, pt 2, p. 147, no. 85; BMC VI, p. 237, nos. 175-77. The edges of the coin are damaged in some places which may explain the light weight (14.7g). The coin has a diameter of 28.8mm and is 4.2mm thick. It weighs 14.7g. The coin is in fine condition, with many of the details clearly visible.
