A copper alloy and iron prehistoric base metal hoard consisting of a vase-headed linch pin head and foot terminal, with a copper alloy mini terret found about 30m away. The iron linch pin shaft only survives as stubs projecting from each terminal. The mini terret is likely to have been used with the linch pin (see below) and the the hoard probably dates from 400 BC - 200 BC. Description:   Summary A scattered hoard of 16 silver coins and one gold and enamel finger ring. Ten of the coins can be dated to AD 1461 – 1477, and are all coins of Edward IV, from both reigns. There are two groats, two half groats and six pennies. A further five coins are too worn or fragmentary to be positively identified, but they are all certainly Medieval, with a long cross and pellets reverse, apart from one which is too worn to see any detail and could be Medieval or Post Medieval. Treasure case number 2011 T527 On 25th July 2011, a hoard of Iron Age metalwork (finds 1, 2, 4 and 6) was found by [two metal detectorists] while metal detecting on cultivated land. This report concerns the contents of a hoard of Civil War period material from Ackworth, West Yorkshire, reported found on 21 July 2011. The find consists of 591 coins, a gold finger ring and a piece of leather contained within a pot (which was broken when moved), a second smaller vessel was found by the builders which may be associated. The find was reported to Amy Downes, Finds Liaison Officer for South and West Yorkshire, who carried out an initial sort of the hoard and conducted an excavation of the site. A hoard of 353 Roman copper alloy coins discovered in 1990 and declared as Potential Treasure Trove. The coins are believed to be nummi, and one has been identified as an AE 3/4 of Constantine II (317 - 340 AD). They were found in a ceramic vessel; a black burnished ware pot now in 20 pieces glued together. The coins do not appear to have been catalogued. The hoard was acquired by Clifton Park Museum, Rotherham on the 29th September 1990.

Summary: Five gold objects dating to the 7th to 11th centuries were found in three batches over two days.
