A silver-gilt, late Medieval to Post Medieval probable dress fitting, dating from AD 1400 - 1650. It is lozenge shaped with cusped terminals at each corner in the form of a pellet with a collar of three pellets. The plate is incised with cross-hatched decoration. In the centre is set a raised square, possibly integral, with similar cusped terminals at each corner. In the centre is a large pellet. On the reverse, a separate piece of silver is attached. A silver Post Medieval dress accessory. The object is a short hollow tube with a heart shaped end cap, suspension loop and attached ring at one end. The other end is damaged and open. It is not clear whether it was always open. The sides are decorated two panels, one on each of the side of the heart. They are filled with incised foliage forming V shape in the centre, with cross hatching in the background. A border at the base suggests that the panels are complete even if the object isn't.
