A copper alloy ring (28mm diameter, 4mm thick) with a projecting broad hook which is about 12mm long and 10.1mm wide. It is possible a Post Medieval curtain hook dating from AD 1500 - 1700, but could also be a more generic strap fitting. It is cast as one piece. The hook curves forwards from the loop. Egan (2005) has a similar example identified as a possible curtain hook, from a context dated c. 1500-1550 (p70, fig59) this and Medieval published examples (in The Medieval Household) all have the hook bending to the side of the loop rather than forwards.
