A silver probable hammered coin of uncertain date, probably Early Medieval to Post Medieval. It has been clipped so there is no legend, and one face is illegible. On the other face is a design which is not clear, perhaps a displayed or spread eagle or other bird, or a standing woman in a pleated dress, or the other way up, possibly a thistle. The coin may be foreign. It is 12.3mm diameter, 0.5mm thick and 0.4g.

A poor quality silver coin; perhaps a copy of an Iron Age coin of Addedomaros Second Coinage (37 - 33 BC). There appears to be a crude flower pattern on one face in the form of six raised ovals arranged radially (only four are clear) with a pellet in the centre and a pellet between each oval. The reverse appears to be similar but more squashed together. The metal does not appear to be that which is normally used for Iron Age coins, and is likely to have a much more recent date. Compare Van Arsdell number 1623-1.
