A silver hammered coin dating from the Post Medieval period: a halfgroat of James I (1603-1625), struck in 1619 - 1620 or later. The coin is a mule. The obverse is third coinage, spur rowel initial mark, North 2127. The reverse has stops so is of the second coinage, North 2105. A third of the coin edge on one side is slightly bent and nibbled. Measurements: Diameter 16.0mm, thickness maximum 1.0mm although the majority of the coin has a thickness of 0.4mm, weight 0.8g.

A silver hammered coin dating from the Post Medieval period; a halfgroat of James I (1603-1625), struck in 1619 - 1625. Third coinage, no stops on reverse, North 2127. Measurements: Diameter 15.5mm, thickness 0.9mm, weight 0.77g. The coin has a slightly off-centre crack measuring 7.8mm in length. it continues as an indentation towards the edge of the coin where it becomes a crack again of 1.4mm in length. The coin is almost broken in half.
