An iron hook, possibly a fishing hook, of unknown date. It is made from a piece of circular sectioned iron, bent into a wide U shaped hook at one end, and a closed circular loop at the other, the whole having a S shape. It appears to be complete, though corrosion makes this difficult to judge. Though impossible to date, it was found on the site on an Anglo-Saxon cemetery.

A cast, copper alloy possible parchment-pricker, of uncertain date but probably medieval or early post-medieval. It has a circular shaft (4.7mm in diameter) topped by a globular terminal 7.31mm in diameter. In the centre of the shaft is a pair of simple moulded collars, and at the base is a terminal which is square in section, with two collars on it. Projecting below this is a tapering, pointed circular-sectioned spike, of a smaller diameter than the shaft. This point may have been user as a stylus, or perhaps a parchment pricker. A silver unidentified object of unknown date, but probably Post Medieval or Modern. It is a bent strip of silver with a thin flange along two sides, making is roughly cross shaped in cross-section. There are longitudinal striations on both faces. All the edges are incomplete. It is 56.9mm long, 4.1mm wide and 2.1mm thick. 2.51g.

A lead spindle whorl dating from the Early Medieval to early Post-Medieval period, AD 600 - 1600. It is of Coppergate Form A1 with one flat face and one convex face. There is a circular perforation of 8.8mm diameter without any indentation in the side wall. There is no decoration. The whorl has a yellow grey patina. It is 28.9mm diameter and 8.8mm thick. It weighs 38.7g. Form A1 spindle whorls date from the 6th century onwards (Walton Rogers, 2007, page 25).

It has no visible decoration or markings except a small hole in the centre which does not appear to completely penetrate the weight. It is 35.8mm diameter, 12.3mm thick and has a mass of 110g. Description: An incomplete gold ingot of unspecified date. It is 31.46mm long, 8.6mm wide and 5.95mm thick. It weighs 17.52g. The ingot is sub rectangular in section with the main upper and lower face being flat, but the sides are rounded, made up of 5-6 hammered facets of changing width. A lead spindle whorl of Early Medieval to Medieval date, AD 700 - 1200. It is of Walton Roger's form B2, having two (fairly) flat faces and rounded sides. One face is slightly convex. The central hole is roughly circular and tapers from 7.9mm on the domed face, to 10.3mm on the other. The whorl has a white patina and some damage in the form of deep gouges. A lead possible weight of unknown date, Roman to Post medieval, AD 43 - 1800. It is a neatly cast square plaque of lead, with one face concave, and also have a roughly triangular concavity in one corner, probably a casting flaw. The corner sare rounded and the other faces are plain. It has a cream coloured patina. It is 16.6mm long, 15.1mm wide and 10.1mm thick. 36.2g. The mass does not correspond obviously to the normal standard systems of weighing, so it is possibly this is a weight to add mass, like a paperweight, or it could be a form of ingot - a convenient way to store some spare lead.

A flint knife of unknown date, Neolithic to Bronze Age, 4000 BC - 1000 BC. It is formed on a secondary flake of grey flint with some cortex on the dorsal face. It is broadly D shaped in plan. The distal end and right side have invasive, low-angle, sub-parallel retouch to form a cutting edge. There are some abrupt removals on the left side, perhaps to back the edge of the tool. The flint is 34.8mm long, 28.5mm wide and 10.6mm thick. 11.7g.

A copper alloy Roman plate brooch. The brooch is 28.5mm long, 24.9mm wide and 6.5mm thick. It is circular with eight projecting rounded lugs of which six survive. The breaks are not recent. The front of the brooch is decorated with three concentric circular cells for enamel. The centre cell, the outer cell and the lugs all contain large amounts of surviving red enamel. The remaining cell contains bright blue enamel. The enamel has survived in a remarkably good condition.
